Chateau Raspail, a mecca of wine history
in Gigondas, owes its name to Eugène Raspail,
nephew of the illustrious politician. Their effigies are engraved
in the stone façade, and on the balcony supported by two caryatids.
Since it was acquired by the MEFFRE family in 1979,
this prestigious vineyard has rediscovered its former notoriety. The
complete renovation of the cellars enables this Gigondas with powerful
aromas to express its generosity to the full.

The Chateau de RUTH
vineyard is located on the renowned land of St. Cécile-les-Vignes,
to the north east of Orange. A veritable ambassador for AOC Côte
du Rhône, this commune represents 10% of production.
The estate is one of the oldest in the Rhone Valley;
its name appeared for the first time in 1952.
It was the property of several illustrious families such as the
TRINTIGNANT and BEAUHARNAIS
families, directly descending from the family of Empress Josephine.
The MEFFRE family became
the owners in 1970.
The wines on the estate are vinified as red, but
5% of the production is white, thanks to a parcel of Clairette planted
in 1928. Round and fruity, the Ruth wines are fully mature the year
after harvest and the reds can be kept for five years.
